Thin Places Tour 2023
Holy Spirit spoke to me while on a Thin Places Tour across Ireland in 2019 that He wanted me to bring a tour of leaders on a tour of the Thin Places - the Celtic Monasteries which are really best described as the "apostolic centers" of their day. These centers were hubs of worship, discipleship, training, equipping and influence into every arena of the nations. Out of these hubs Kingdom-minded, Spirit-empowered men and women were sent out to transform the world. Celtic saints such as Patrick, Columba, Kevin and many others.
This is not to be a typical tour but a time of learning, praying, gleaning and strategically processing how we can take what we learn from these apostolic leaders and translate it into our day. The days in which they stepped into history and transformed nations was filled with paganism, encroaching religious systems that were devoid of the power of the Spirit, debauchery, and darkness on every front. BUT GOD used a growing remnant carrying the fiery passion and vestiges of the first century apostolic church to advance the Gospel of the Kingdom and transform individuals, families and nations.
Do it again, Lord!
One more piece of background I wanted to share with you. In 2004 on the first day of my first trip to Ireland, I had the most significant God-encounter of my life. We had literally just come from getting off the plane after an all-night flight and a powerful visit to Slane Hille, the place where St Patrick lit the Paschal fire in defiance of the pagan king. We had then driven to Belfast to check-in to our hotel, I while was taking a much-needed nap, the Lord took me back to Slane Hill. I could feel my feet on the ground, see the remains of the structure that had been built there, the cemetery and its statues, and the surrounding land. Then, I heard Holy Spirit say, "What I did in Patrick's day I shall do again and you will not only see it, you will be part of it." As He spoke I could feel the fire from the history of that day rising up through my feet until I was filled with the fire of God. It was as real as me sitting here typing this email to you! Needless to say, I was wrecked... woke from my nap shaking and in tears!
I have carried this encounter and promise from the Lord for over 18 years; and have returned to Ireland numerous times and every time I get my feet back on the land the passion God put in me then grows deeper and deeper. At this time, I can clearly see that we are in the early stages of what God promised, and believe this tour is a next step of gleaning from the past to step into the synergy of the ages God has prepared for us, at least for me and those who hear His call to join us on this tour.
Below are the basic details for the Thin Places Tour to Ireland. The pricing for the ground portion of the tour is a good estimate, but as with most things these days prices are fluctuating and until we are able to lock in rates with deposits for hotels and ground transportation, things are subject to change.
Please review the material below and let me know if you are interested in joining us on this tour to the THIN PLACES OF IRELAND.... places where the heavens are thin and you can step into portals of glory. Let me know if you have any questions, and if I don't have the answer I will do my best to get it for you.
I look forward to hearing from you! Once I know you are interested, I will send you instructions for securing your place on the tour.
For His Glory!

Thin Places Tour 2023
Purpose: To visit monastic sites, apostolic hubs, across Ireland from the times of the Celtic Church which was the last outpost of the first century apostolic church. At each location we will hear stories of how these early apostolic leaders impacted the nations, trained the converted to grow in the knowledge of Christ and His Word, and equipped saints to operate in Kingdom authority in various arenas of culture. We will spend time praying and tapping into the anointing and grace that these early apostolic hubs operated in that literally changed the world. Finally, time will be set apart after our visit to the various sites for dialogue, led by apostolic leaders, discussing what was learned at each site and how God would have us bring forth the key principles from the past into today. This will be a time of us stepping into the synergy of the ages to further the Kingdom in our day even as was done in the days of the Celtic Apostolic Church.
Tour Guides: Kevin & Rose Sambrook, apostolic-prophetic leaders in Belfast, N Ireland. They lead an apostolic center in downtown Belfast, lead Rhema Restoration Ministries serving all of Ireland, the British Isles and beyond. Both are students of the early Celtic Saints with years of experience leading tours across the land.
Participants: Primarily focused on the gathering of apostolic leaders, their leaders and intercessors who can then return home to take what was learned and imparted, and bring forth another dimension of Kingdom advancement.

- Participation and responsibilities
- Honor and respect are critical when traveling with a group for 10 days or so in a different environment, in changing hotel rooms, traveling for hours on the bus, eating foods you may not be familiar with (and perhaps not at the exact time you want!), with people you may or may not know… it is FUN and EXCITING, but can also be tiring and challenging. Therefore, determining ahead of time how we will choose to treat each others and how we will face stressful moments will help minimize the challenge.
- Flexibility at all times realizing that even the best laid plans sometimes change. It is important that we keep a flexible and positive attitude at all time, treating each other with kindness, respect and honor.
- Each person being ready at appointed times and staying together throughout the tour is mandatory; wandering off or deciding to linger causing delays and disruption to the rest of the tour may result in being left behind or the need for being sent home.
