Word Alive International Outreach & All In Alabama
Transforming Lives
Kent and Beverly Mattox are the founders of Word Alive International Outreach, an Apostolic Center of Freedom and Transformation that was established in December of 2000. This interdenominational outreach center quickly grew into a rich, culturally diverse local church with several thousands of people in regular attendance with active participation and an international outreach. WAIO carries an emphasis on preaching, teaching, recovery, and reaching out to the nations of the world.
Kent and Beverly Mattox are passionate with a great desire to see every individual find FREEDOM and TRANSFORMATION in Christ to fulfill their purpose and destiny within the Kingdom. That passion, combined with their commitment to see people succeed in every area of life, fuels the vision of Word Alive International Outreach. Their enthusiasm, genuine love for people, and effective teaching has fueled a ministry which spans 32 years and embraces four continents with the message of FREEDOM and TRANSFORMATION: Finding our Identity in Christ, our Alignment in God’s Kingdom Culture, our Empowerment in spiritual community, and our Assignment in God’s world.
Kent and Beverly are also committed to providing food and clean water to those in the world without the means of securing those much-needed resources for themselves. Their apostolic vision starts with their own local community with Project 58 and spans to other communities across the globe. Their inspiration for this purpose comes from John 6:1-14 and Isaiah 58. Word Alive International Outreach has now distributed millions of pounds of food and supplies to their local community and other nations around the world. This has also been accomplished through WAIO’s Pray. Fast. Give. call to action and through the transformational work happening on-campus, among almost 200 Seven Springs Ministries and Esther House residents. By the end of 2022, 55 men and women graduated from the Recovery Program and WAIO saw over 350 new believers baptized. Transforming A State
In January 2020, The Lord spoke powerfully to Kent and Beverly Mattox and WAIO and they embarked upon an ambitious undertaking to travel to each of the 67 counties in the State of Alabama and proclaim the good news of the gospel and to shift entire people groups from the Church Age into the Kingdom Age by imparting the revelation of marketplace ministers via the teaching of Ekklesia. This was the beginning of the All In Alabama movement. Embodied in this understanding is that believers are mobile arks of the covenant- literally 24 hours a day and seven days a week. Gathering around the table and inviting others into our homes is the best example of staying connected to one another and to our communities. Marketplace ministers are engaging more than ever in prayer evangelism and making sure that needs are being met in communities, neighborhoods, and businesses.
By 2021, The Lord established an Apostolic Cohort of Alabama pastors and leaders around Kent and Beverly, who desire to move together with an apostolic heart to build and restore the desolations of many generations in the land. Kent and Beverly continue to be committed to this mission, as they lead and regularly move alongside these leaders. They mobilize monthly in one accord, moving through the twelve spiritual districts of Alabama to worship the Lord in His appointed times, to bless each boundary, awaken God’s called out ones, and to release God’s message of FREEDOM and TRANSFORMATION to the state of Alabama and beyond. They desire that Alabama will be awakened to righteous identity, alignment, empowerment, and assignment. Through the All In Alabama journey, the Lord is unearthing and connecting His Triumphant Reserve. Apostolic hubs and freedom outposts are arising everywhere, as the prophetic and apostolic are learning to move together as a company of The Lord. This is the first movement of its kind, as church and marketplace leaders in every district are laying down their agendas to join together and to present the entire state of Alabama to the Lord for His purposes.
In October of 2022 and by the grace of God, Kent and Beverly were able to present all 67 counties of Alabama to the Lord (at Tabernacles) and Chuck Pierce commissioned Alabama and Kent and Beverly to take a transformational prototype and go forth again through the land, toward Kingdom harvest. This is the promise of the Lord in motion- that Alabama would “go first” to establish a prototype of Kingdom Harvest for the surrounding states and ultimately the nation. Word Alive has several international campuses across the globe. Their first WAIO church plant was in Tanzania (with 10 campuses across the country today), as well as having established campuses in Argentina, Brazil, and Peru. WAIO also continues to be directly involved with villages, campuses, water and feeding programs, schools, farmers, orphanages, and women’s ministries in Peru, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Israel, and Nigeria.
